Pastor Joakim Lundqvist is pastor and international ambassador of Word of Life Church in Uppsala, Sweden. Even in this extremely secularized nation, the church has built an international network of over 900 churches worldwide.
Word of Life puts its main focus on building the Kingdom of God and shining His light where needed the most, in nations such as Afghanistan, Iraq, China, India, Iran, Ukraine etc.
Ps Joakim is a highly appreciated and inspiring speaker, having visited over 50 nations throughout the world. His 30 years of experience in youth ministry shines through in his creative messages that have the ability to relate to every generation.
He is the author of four books that has been translated to several languages.
Pastor Joakim and Maria have been married for 35 years. They have two grown-up daughters, Evelina and Julia, and two grandsons - Zion and Samson.
ABOUT THE MINISTRY
Word of Life Church has an extensive missions program and has produced millions of books and audio/video material of bible teaching.
Word of Life’s Bible School has graduated over 12.000 students in Sweden and over 36.000 students in its 19 campuses worldwide (including Eastern Europe, Russia, Middle East, India and Central Asia).
Word of Life has a strong focus on supporting society’s most needy. The church made headline news in its approach to the refugee crisis of Europe, providing maximum support to the refugees leading to hundreds turning to Christ. Word of Life is running several refugee centers, homeless shelters and social care programs.
In 2002, pastor Joakim also founded the Christian student organization ‘New Generation’ in Sweden, that has grown to over 15.000 students nationally and 25.000 internationally.
